If you're planning to do a decorating project yourself, but aren't sure how to go about getting the best results, or you want a new look but haven’t got a budget to match your plans, you might like to take advantage of a one-day decorating workshop.


 

Just give me an idea of the kind of work you want to do, and I'll come to your home, and help start the project with you. 


I’ll give you professional guidance that will help you achieve results you can feel proud of and enjoy. 


I'll teach you skills to tackle most jobs, take the fear out of the work. 


Some of the things we will cover include…

 

  • Prepping walls and woodwork. 
  • How to apply paint correctly to various surfaces, using a brush and roller
  • Choosing the right materials and tools
  • Estimating the amount of materials the job will require
  • Organising your work so you make the best use of your time
  • Making the jobs you’re planning manageable. 
  • Common pitfalls and how to avoid them
  • How to correct mistakes

 

As well as all that, I can give you helpful hints on choosing colours, paint finishes, etc.

 

The work-shops can held on Saturdays, to fit in with most people's working week, or Mondays- to start you and your project off. They usually run from a civilised 10am - 4pm
